Looking over the climate change blogs there's not a whole lot of positive news out there. Even that which is positive doesn't seem very much so. And the clamor to go vegan just makes me feel guilty: today I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast. I know how the meat eaters feel.
So instead I'll write about a tiny victorian cottage. Sandra Foster is the woman's name, and she converted a hunting cabin in the Catskills into a little lovenest. What makes this noteworthy is the conversion was done on the cheap and largely using things discarded. I'm a man and I'll admit all the "foo-foo" isn't quite to my taste. Still, as an example of what's possible if we choose to live small and simple, it's quite a model.
Not sure how this fares as a winter cabin; I'm sure the Catskills are mighty cold now, given how the winter is going across the Northeast states.
