I went to a dramatic arts festival in Korea this past week and just got back. One of my students wanted to go to Itaewon which I was against, but she looked really mad when I said I didn't want to go. Being the chaperone and able to (somewhat) speak Korean I decided to go. I'd never been there too so I figured it would be an experience. This was the first night of the current cold snap hitting Korea, and so I'm recovering from a bit of a cold. Quite a trip and festival; if my contacts come through I'll be posting videos of performances I had a hand in.
In the early months of this blog I posted a link to a story taking us through the causes and effects of the housing market crash. It's a sad story of greed which unfortunately America still continues to feel the burdens of. I took the link down for personal reasons, but it's such a great story and still relevant that I'm posting it again here. Actually it's a podcast; one of those things good to have in the background while washing dishes or houses chores.
